The humans gathered for the fray Seeking justice doing it right So dark inside the Alley You'd swear that it was night The re were young ones, there were old ones And there were many from the middle Who stood as one to state their case As the viper played his fiddle He bowed and scraped his sawney tune And hissed his sibilant song As marionettes rose on tethered feet His to string along Down and down they slithered In their eyes a wooden stare Looking through the humans These Pinocchioan fare The humans were undaunted By sententious spiel so vile Spat out by the serpent With the sick insipid smile I raised my arm and moved my lips But no words could I hear As shrieks of hate resounded From the 'rag dolls' at the rear Then 'sambo' got to colours Ordering all to take 'his word' But the humans took no notice 'Mephistopheles', had erred! We were there to handle business , Not to deal or trade our soul. Seeking justice for a comrade And, community control! Mac |
